LUAN DEL SAVIO

Luan Del Savio (1989), born in Santa Catarina – Brazil, graduated in Industrial Drawing by the University do Vale do Itajaí, civil engineer scholar by the University do Oeste de Santa Catarina, with an specialization in Production Engineering by the University Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. The expression through drawing started early in his live, putting in paper the creativity influenced by the exposure of different elements, professional and abstract. This flow of inventiveness pours to the contemporary side, where he encounters a solid surface to base his creations. Seeking to ally the creative emotional side with the rationality of the production process and the entire universe that surrounds the development of a new product, he specialized in engineering, bringing this complicity that allowed him to see the production chain as a way to improve his inventive thought. Modern trace and lean design feature the forms portrayed in this designer’s furniture, combining the minimalistic and neutral concept with the Brazilian character, present in the curves and materials used. Del Savio believes that furniture must cause an emotion to the user, using from its functionality and elegance, but without disagreeing with the ambiance. This position provides pureness and simplicity to the work, highlighted in his contemporary design.
